Evelyn McKay is a proud Noongar woman and is very active in her community supporting Aboriginal families with children with additional needs.
She is the Founder and Coordinator of Be My Koorda support group for Aboriginal people caring for children with autism and other disabilities. She is also the primary carer for her son who has Autism. She has been a Kalparrin member since 2016.
Evelyn is currently employed by West Australian Individualised Services (WAIS) as a Resource Developer and has also been involved in creating accessible and culturally appropriate resources for Aboriginal carers through the Finding New Ways project with Rocky Bay.
She has a Diploma in Mental Health and brings her unique experience and insight to Kalparrin.
